Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for families of pediatric patients who travel to Bend for medical treatment, as well as women with high-risk pregnancies who must remain close to emergency medical care.

We are located on the property of St. Charles Medical Center so that families can stay together and be close to their child undergoing treatment. Keeping families together is an essential part of a family-centered healthcare environment, an approach that has been shown to significantly reduce hospital stays and speed healing and recovery from injury and illness. We are one of the smallest Ronald McDonald Houses in the Worls, with only six bedrooms. We provide a private suite that sleeps up to six adults, kitchen & laundry facilities, and a host of other services and comforts for families with children, ages 0-21, who are actively receiving medical treatment here in Bend. We do not have a maximum number of days that families can stay with us. RMHC does not define who "family" is. Instead, we allow families to gather the support network they need during a time of pediatric medical crisis. A $20 per night room donation is suggested for services that cost $113 per night to provide, but no family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
