The Ronald McDonald House is operated by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Oregon, Inc., a non-profit corporation, and by a small staff and volunteer board of directors. The enthusiastic participation of men and women from all walks of life makes the house "work." Support in the form of time, talents, funds, and materials are important to the running of the facility, and have come from individuals, businesses, fraternal, and community organizations. The compassion of these men and women has resulted in a haven that shelters families and sees them through a period of unthinkable stress.

A wide variety of volunteer opportunities are available to choose from for both individuals and groups. Basically everything that needs to be done in your house or office needs doing at the Bend Ronald McDonald House! We welcome all of your skills and interests and will do our best to find a good match for you.  Download our Volunteer Application.  Note: You must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer. If you are younger you may volunteer with an adult.

Current Needs:

• Handy Person - Help the house with the painting, moving furniture and general maintenance.
• Front Desk -  Our front desk is a hub of activity and information. It is here you will greet and interact with families and visitors, answer telephones and handle deliveries. With experience and training this position may expand to giving tours, checking families in and out and assisting with special projects.
• Family Dinner Program - Our families are between the house and the hospital all day, preparing a meal for families is one way to reduce the stress and help a family in crisis.
• Work Groups - Provide some help with projects ranging from indoors to outdoors. Landscaping, painting and cooking are just a few of the things a work party might do around the Ronald McDonald House of Bend.
• Special or Professional Services - Ronald McDonald House isn't unlike any other home, we are always in need of plumbers, electricians, painters and carpenters.
